Cape Town, South Africa, (16th February 2022): Trinifold Sports Management athletes including Scottish golfer, Calum Fyfe, are to receive the largest number of Challenge Tour starts to date, thanks to an elevated partnership between Trinifold and business finance provider, Cubefunder.
Announced ahead of this week’s Bain’s Whisky Cape Town Open – the second event of the 2022 Challenge Tour season that is also co-sanctioned by the Sunshine Tour – the partnership will provide Trinifold athletes with an expanded total of 13 starts on the schedule for this year alone.
For players such as Calum Fyfe, who embarked on his debut Challenge Tour season last week, the deal presents increased and more regular opportunities to continue their pursuit of DP World Tour playing rights for the 2023 season.
Former Scottish Boy’s and Men’s player Fyfe, who also holds the current all-time tournament scoring record on the EuroPro Tour, said: “Gaining my Challenge Tour card last year was an incredible feeling, but these added starts are massive if I now want to take that next step onto the DP World Tour next year. I cannot thank Cubefunder enough for this opportunity and for all the support that they have provided throughout my career.”
As a provider of business finance, Cubefunder’s ethos to support promising organisations with opportunities has transcended into golf through its longstanding partnership with Trinifold, that has resulted in ongoing support for its athletes through the provision of competitive golfing opportunities on the Challenge Tour, Sunshine Tour and EuroPro Tour.
Gary Miller-Cheevers, CEO at Cubefunder, said: “We have built a team that has many young people for whom Cubefunder was their first serious job after leaving college or university. As an advocate of developing young talent in the business world, I am equally proud to be able to support young golfers with opportunities for progression onto the main tours.”
Fyfe, alongside other fellow Challenge Tour players such as Tom Sloman and Daniel O’Loughlin, are represented by Trinifold Sports Management, a sports management agency who supports its athletes in a socially responsible way and aligns them with partners that resonate on both a personal and professional level to deliver more tangible returns.
James Byers, CEO, Trinifold Sports Management, said: “For Calum, Tom, Daniel and the rest of our Trinifold athletes, partnerships like this one with Cubefunder are vital for their development as promising talents in the game, and the strong relationship between Cubefunder and Trinifold is one that demonstrates a collective and long-term commitment to see our athletes succeed.
“Our relationships with Thomas Abt on the Sunshine Tour and Jamie Hodges on the Challenge Tour are extremely important to us at Trinifold Sports, and I personally would like to thank their staff and the team at Cubefunder for their extreme efficiency and professionalism in creating these opportunities.”
