Cubefunder, the specialist SME business lender, has been named a finalist for Innovation in Credit, Finance Lending Solution and Affordability Assessment Solution at the Credit & Collections Technology Awards 2026. The three nominations recognise the technology Cubefunder uses to assess, approve and fund business loans.
The announcement follows Cubefunder’s double shortlisting at the NACFB Commercial Lender Awards 2026, for Pioneer of the Year and Specialist Lender of the Year.
Cubefunder is a finalist in three categories, each tied to a different part of how it lends.
Innovation in Credit recognises new approaches to how lending decisions are made. Cubefunder combines technology with manual underwriting, so each business is assessed on its own merits rather than by a scorecard alone.
Finance Lending Solution recognises the platforms that carry a loan from application to funding. Cubefunder’s process lets businesses apply in minutes and funds approved applications within 48 hours.
Affordability Assessment Solution recognises how lenders check that a borrower can repay. Cubefunder looks at the money coming into the business, how long it has traded and its room to repay, so it can lend responsibly to businesses with as little as three months’ trading history.
The technology behind these nominations has helped Cubefunder lend more than £110 million to over 3,500 UK businesses.
For businesses, it means a quick decision on loans from £5,000 to £100,000, with no early repayment fees. Limited companies in England and Wales can apply with three months’ trading and £4,000 in monthly revenue.
For brokers, it means cases that need a closer look get one. Brokers work with a named broker manager and can track cases through the Cubefunder broker portal.
The Credit & Collections Technology Awards recognise technology used in lending, credit and collections across the UK.
